RPW science data product availability at ESAC

New RPW science data are delivered to Solar Orbiter Archive (SOAR) at ESAC every Monday.

Criteria for deliverying are:

  • Science data are released publicly 90 days after the downlink on-ground.
  • When a new version of an already published data file is available, it is delivered without any proprietary period.
  • Commissioning data (i.e., between February and June 2020) are not public.

NOTE: Solar Orbiter is a "offline" mission. It means that science data can be stored on-board up to several weeks before being downlinked on-ground. The downlink rate is strongly dependent on the spacecraft-Earth distance [1].

Please read Data issues and releases notes to be informed about any new RPW data releases or known issues.
