Data availability
RPW science data product availability at ESAC
New RPW science data are delivered to Solar Orbiter Archive (SOAR) at ESAC every Monday.
Criteria for deliverying are:
- Science data are released publicly 90 days after being downlinked on-ground.
- After the 90 days of proprietary period, any new version of a data file is publicly released within 48 hours.
- Commissioning data (i.e., between 10th of February and 15th of June 2020) are not public.
NOTE: Solar Orbiter is a "offline" mission. It means that science data can be stored on-board up to several weeks before being downlinked on-ground. The downlink rate is strongly dependent on the spacecraft-Earth distance [1].
